The bottom of the object is missing

What you see

The model looks fine from above but has a hole or flat patch underneath.

Why it happens

The camera can't see the underside while the object sits on a surface.

How to fix

1. After the second circle, the app asks you to turn the object over. Tap Turn it over, place it with its bottom facing up, then circle once more.
2. If the object would lose its shape upside down, tap Can't flip it? Scan lower instead. Its lower sides get captured, but the very bottom stays hidden.
3. If the app suggests Scan from lower, it thinks the object may not scan well turned over. Tap Turn it over anyway only if it keeps its shape.
