You can't walk around the object

What you see

The object sits against a wall or can't be moved, so you can't circle it and the scan fails or misses sides.

Why it happens

Object mode expects to see the object from every side. Without the full circle, there isn't enough to build it.

How to fix

1. Before you start, open the menu next to the shutter and choose Area. You can't switch once capturing has started.
2. Area is for surfaces you can't walk around, like a wall relief or a statue against a wall. Best under 6 ft (1.8 m) across.
3. If you can move the object, put it on a table away from walls and use Object instead.
