Floor plan stopped during a Space scan

What you see

While scanning a space with Floor plan turned on, the app shows “Floor plan stopped to save memory — the part already scanned is kept.” The Floor plan button also shows a warning sign.

Why it happens

Building a floor plan alongside the 3D scan uses a lot of memory. When the phone runs low, the app stops the floor plan so the 3D scan can carry on safely.

How to fix

1. Keep scanning. Your 3D scan continues, and the floor plan keeps what it had captured.
2. If you then see “Tracking was reset”, your scan is kept. Move slowly back over an area you already scanned.
3. For a complete floor plan of a big place, scan it separately in Floor plan mode, or keep Space scans with Floor plan on shorter.
